Often cars need to have routine or emergency repairs done and taking a day off work to take the ca to a garage can be disruptive. If you are able to drive the car then you may consider taking it to work and asking a mobile mechanic to come and work on it at your work premises. If you are thinking about doing this then it is vital that you obtain permission to do so from the owner of the business before booking the mobile mechanic. They may be more than happy to allow for this but may want the car situated out of public view, especially if the business is open to members of the public.

Another way to get the work done on your vehicle is to ask the garage if they are able to come and collect your car and drop it back off to you when finished. If you do decide to do this, then it may be worth checking what will happen if for some reason the car is not ready by the time you need to leave i.e. do they have a courtesy car that you can borrow.
