So you’re driving along and all of a sudden a warning light come s up on your dashboard of your car. You have no idea what the light is but are sure that you have not seen it before. Our instant reaction often is to panic assuming that there is something wrong with the car that requires you to stop driving it immediately. This is very often not the case, but all lights should be investigated as soon as possible.
The vehicle handbook should be kept in the car at all times so you can refer to it when needed. Many people take this out of the car when they purchase it to keep it safe or to have a read through but forget to return it to the vehicle. When a light appears on your dash, I would advise pulling the car over where it is safe to do so and looking through the manual to find out what the issue is. If you are still unsure as to if you should drive it you could always call the main dealer garage and ask their advice or contact your breakdown company.
