Car Sales Tactics to be Aware of

Many car sales staff work mostly on commission and are trained to sell hard. When you go to look at a vehicle they have for sale they will often offer you a specific deal that is only valid for that day. If this is the case then you could always go and grab a coffee somewhere to think about it without the pressure. Many garages say this, but if you actually call them up the next day or so and say you will buy the car but only if they honour the original deal, often you will find they will still do it. Unfortunately this is another hard sales push that many garages try to do.

They are expecting you to haggle a bit so always ask for either money off or extras thrown in such as car mats or 6 months tax etc. You may be surprised actually how much more you can get just by asking.
