Electric cars are the future and many manufacturers are doing all they can to ensure that they can move towards producing only electric vehicles in the future. Jaguar have said that they will be all electric by 2025 leading the way for other car manufacturers to follow suit.
Lots of people are still not convinced about electric cars as they say that the world does not seem ready for them. Most electric cars have a battery that often doesn’t do more than about 250 miles on a full charge. To fully charge the battery can take around 10 hours meaning that long journeys may need to be split over two days or more.
Scientists are working on a battery that is said to last slightly longer and that can be fully charged in ten minutes. This would be a huge game changer for electric cars and may be the development needed to make them more popular. The government are constantly introducing incentives for people to go all electric such as no tax. Most manufactures are only going to be producing electric vehicles within the next decade, meaning over time petrol and diesel models will be no more.
