Sales of 4×4 are increasing in the UK probably because of their practicality, looks and comfort. In the early 2000s it seemed like 4x4s had gone out of fashion thanks to rising fuel costs, but with efficient modern engines equipped, the market for these cars is growing a lot.
Here we will suggest to you what you can get for the most of your money:
Range Rover – Considered the most luxurious and comfortable 4×4 on the market but with its looks comes its hefty price. It is also a very heavy car which means that the fuel economy is high too (around 30mpg.) The Range Rover is always seen as a fashion item, in particular the Range Rover Evoque which was designed by Victoria Beckham.
Dacia Duster – If you are on a tight budget, look no further than the Dacia Duster. Its low cost of around £15,000 is great for its traction control and spacious interior. The Romanian car has only recently been introduced in the UK but it is causing a stir.
Land Rover Discovery 4 – Could the Discovery 4 be one of the greatest all-rounders money can buy? It has unstoppable off-road ability, seven-seat practicality, luxurious interior and upmarket image, the large Land Rover is a family car for all seasons. However it is a bit expensive, from prices ranging from £40,000 (basic package) – £60,000 (luxury edition.)
Fiat Panda 4×4 – So you only thought that there was a small, compact version but there is infact a 4×4 version of the hatchback. You can argue that it has an ugly exterior but its manufacturing brilliance for its off road performance, isn’t that what 4×4’s are made for? It was awarded Top Gear’s “SUV of the Year” and costs just under £13,000!
What will you go for?…
