There are many different makes and models of cars out there that would be perfect as a family car. When looking at family cars you need to consider what is important to you. If you have more than 3 children then you will have to look at getting a seven seater and this does limit your choice somewhat.

If you have 2 or 3 children you may be able to get away with a standard 5 seater. If you usually have to carry a lot with you as well as fit the family in then you will require a large boot space, this is also true if you need to transport a dog. If this is the case then you will probably be looking at estate cars. Just because a car is an estate doesn’t mean it will have a huge boot. I recently owned a BMW 318 estate and was shocked at how small the boot was compared to my previous vehicle, an Audi A6 estate.
